Gwinnett County Board of REALTORS® Scholarship Foundation

Each year the Gwinnett County Board of REALTORS® Scholarship Foundation through the Northeast Atlanta Metro Association of REALTORS® will award a scholarship to a worthy graduate of an accredited high school program within the state of Georgia. The scholarship will be paid through the institution of the student’s choice, $1,000 each year for a maximum of four years. For more information, contact Angie@namar.org.

Scholarship Award Criteria

Grade Point Average

Applicants must have a grade point average of 90 or more or an A average as shown by their high school transcript.

SAT / ACT

Applicants may submit, if they have taken them, the SAT combined score of 1290 or more (out of 1600) or an ACT composite score of 22 or more (out of 36). Please submit a copy of your scores. (The Trustees recognize that many colleges have waived the SAT/ACT testing).

Leadership / Community Involvement

Applicants must have demonstrated leadership in school activities and/or community involvement.

Degree Seeking

Applicants must have applied for or be accepted for enrollment at an accredited college, university or vocational-technical institution and plan on working toward a bachelors or associate degree.

Financial Need

Financial need of the applicant may be considered in the scholarship award.

REALTOR® Relationship

All applicants must be a 1st (first) or 2nd (second) generation (this includes children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and step children) selected students who are related to any REALTOR® member of the Northeast Atlanta Metro Association of REALTORS® and are graduating from an accredited high school program within the state of Georgia.

School Verification

The applicant’s high school principal and school counselor shall sign each application to verify the student’s scholarship, character and extra curricular activities.

Renewal Requirements

Recipients of the scholarship must register for and complete at least the minimum number of hours required to be classified as a full time student at the institution of their choice and maintain an accumulated C average. Awards must be renewed annually by the filing of a renewal application as required by the Scholarship Committee.

Final Decisions

The Gwinnett County Board of REALTORS® Scholarship Foundation, through The Northeast Atlanta Metro Association of REALTORS® reserves the right to make the final selection of each year’s recipient and each annual renewal of the award and any decision of The Gwinnett County Board of REALTORS® Scholarship Foundation, through Northeast Atlanta Metro Association of REALTORS® on the scholarship shall be final and uncontestable.
