SUMMARY:Now Accepting Applications for High School Senior Scholarships
DESCRIPTION:Each year the Gwinnett County Board of REALTORS® Scholarship Foundation through the Northeast Atlanta Metro Association of REALTORS® will award a scholarship to a worthy graduate of an accredited high school program within the state of Georgia. The scholarship will be paid through the institution of the student’s choice\, $1\,000 each year for a maximum of four years. For more information\, contact Angie@namar.org. \nApplication Deadline: February 29\, 2024 – Click here to submit application \nScholarship Award Criteria\nGrade Point Average\nApplicants must have a grade point average of 90 or more or an A average as shown by their high school transcript.\n\nSAT / ACT\nApplicants may submit\, if they have taken them\, the SAT combined score of 1290 or more (out of 1600) or an ACT composite score of 22 or more (out of 36). Please submit a copy of your scores. (The Trustees recognize that many colleges have waived the SAT/ACT testing).\n\nLeadership / Community Involvement\nApplicants must have demonstrated leadership in school activities and/or community involvement.\n\nDegree Seeking\nApplicants must have applied for or be accepted for enrollment at an accredited college\, university or vocational-technical institution and plan on working toward a bachelors or associate degree.\n\nFinancial Need\nFinancial need of the applicant may be considered in the scholarship award.\n\nREALTOR® Relationship\nAll applicants must be a 1st (first) or 2nd (second) generation (this includes children\, grandchildren\, great grandchildren\, nieces\, nephews\, and step children) selected students who are related to any REALTOR® member of the Northeast Atlanta Metro Association of REALTORS® and are graduating from an accredited high school program within the state of Georgia.\n\nSchool Verification\nThe applicant’s high school principal and school counselor shall sign each application to verify the student’s scholarship\, character and extra curricular activities.\n\nRenewal Requirements\nRecipients of the scholarship must register for and complete at least the minimum number of hours required to be classified as a full time student at the institution of their choice and maintain an accumulated C average. You may nominate one agent per category from your office. \n\nLicensed for less than two years in qualifying year\n$75\,000 GCI or 15 closed transactions in the qualifying year. In case of a tie in # of units\, the higher GCI trumps number of transactions.\nNAMAR must be the Primary Association.
